You need to read!

People keep telling me that since I read so many books (about 100/year) and since I volunteer at a Christian lending library, I should find a way to share what I read with others. Well, here we go! This blog will include reviews of books that I read as part of my annual 104-book challenge, as well as new books that I preview for the library and for publishers. Reading is so important to me, and it should be to you, too.

Charles Spurgeon said:

Give yourself unto reading. The man who never reads will never be read; he who never quotes will never be quoted. He who will not use the thoughts of other men’s brains, proves that he has no brains of his own. You need to read. . . We are quite persuaded that the very best way for you to be spending you leisure time, is to be either reading or praying. You may get much instruction from books which afterwards you may use as a true weapon in your Lord and Master’s service. Paul cries, “Bring the books” – join the cry.

My plan is to post at least 2 reviews each week to keep you supplied with fresh ideas about what you might like to read next. I hope you’ll have as much fun reading this, as I do writing about it! Let’s do this!
